Laura wanted one simple app where she could keep everything she needed without ads, popups or unnecessary accounts.

That became Life-Fixer.

What is Life-Fixer?

Life-Fixer brings different tools into one place.

It includes to-do lists, countdowns, meditation timers and more.

The idea came from Laura's own experience.

"I had too many apps which were full of ads. I wanted somewhere to keep everything in one place, with no sign in, no popups, no mess."

Starting Over

Laura first started building the app around 2020 but gave up because it was too much.

She came back to it later and started properly building again about four months before release.

Before writing code, she started brainstorming and physically drawing how she wanted each page to look.

She spent £0 building it.

Getting the First Customers

The first customer came through word of mouth after telling family and friends.

The first 10 customers came from Reddit.

Reddit also became the best acquisition channel.

Laura tried Reddit, Product Hunt, word of mouth, Facebook groups and TikTok.

Facebook groups didn't work.

She plans to keep posting on Reddit and TikTok even though her TikToks haven't had many views yet.

The Numbers

There is no MRR because Life-Fixer uses a one-time payment.

What Didn't Work

Laura says her biggest mistake was expecting the app to blow up in a day.

She doesn't think she would change much else.

This is her second app, so she had already worked through many of the mistakes from her first one.
