IndieAppCircle: From a Simple MVP to €100 MRR
By Luis
€0 → €100 MRR · Solo founder · 2 weeks to launch · €1,800 total revenue
Luis built IndieAppCircle after launching an app himself and wanting honest feedback and early users.
He was looking for a product that could help with that but couldn't find one. So he built it himself.
What is IndieAppCircle?
IndieAppCircle helps indie developers get feedback and early users for their apps.
Developers upload their app, explain what they want people to test, then test other apps to earn credits. They can spend those credits to get testers for their own app.
Credits are only transferred after the developer approves the feedback.
Building the MVP
Luis built a simple MVP then launched it almost immediately.
The product was built with React and Convex and hosted on Vercel.
It took just 2 weeks to launch.
Getting the First Customers
The first paying customer came from Reddit.
The first 10 customers also came from Reddit.
Luis tried SEO, Reddit, X, Product Hunt, cold outreach and communities.
Reddit worked best.
What Worked
Posting often, listening to feedback and adapting quickly helped the most.
Reddit was the main acquisition channel.
What Didn't Work
Product Hunt and other launch websites didn't work as expected.
Another mistake was building features nobody was asking for.
Luis says he would also start earlier if he could do it again.
